Points of View Artist Judith Long has been honored by acceptance into Maine's premier juried photography show. A photographer for many years,  among her interests is the play of light on objects.  Her photograph, Lace Curtain, exemplifies the dramatic contrast that light and dark can create.  At the same time, the image includes the contrast of near and far, as the viewer discovers the world outside as seen through the lacy weave.   The photograph was taken from a window in the Casa Milà apartment building, one of the most famous designed by Antoni Gaudi in Barcelona.

The Maine Photography Show(presented by Boothbay Region Art Foundation) has been the annual premier juried gallery show of photography in Maine for 10 years with over 200 participants every year.  Kathleen Clemons, the juror for the 2016 Show, completed the challenging job of selecting the 106 exhibited photos from more than 900 entries.  Images can be seen on the MPS website (http://mainephotographyshow.org/2016/entry.php).  Clicking on a pin on the selected entries map will bring up the photograph taken by the artist at that location.

The selected photos will be exhibited at the BRAF Gallery at 1 Townsend Avenue in Boothbay Harbor from Saturday, April 9th to Friday, May 6th, 2016 (Gallery hours will be Thursday-Sunday 11AM to 5PM - call BRAF for possible openings on other days.)

Summary:

Points of View Artist Judith Long is represented in the Maine Photography Show at the Boothbay Regional Art Foundation gallery from April 9 to May 6.
