Visit us this year at Points of View Gallery, 18 Pleasant Street, Brunswick, from June to September. An artist reception will be held on the second Friday of each month between 5 and 8 pm. We will also have a group exhibit at Gallery Framing during the month of June. You can also see my current projects on Face Book. I post most paintings on Face Book as soon as I consider them finished.
WHY I PAINT:
Travel and love of nature greatly influence my painting. I paint a great variety of subjects, people, cityscapes, landscapes, animals, and machines . Variety makes life fun.
Short History: I started Painting when I retired from the practice of law in 2006. I started with watercolor and that medium continues to excite me. However, recently I have been painting some with Acrylic. For over seven years I have been a member of Points of View Artists, exhibiting regularly at the Points of View Gallery at 18 Pleasant Street in Brunswick. I Have also exhibited paintings at Gallery Framing in Brunswick and RiverArts Gallery in Damariscotta. My painting, Pisa, A Different View, was selected to represent the 2012 10X10 art exhibit and sale which provides funds for the arts in Brunswick Elementary schools.
I have studied under Evelyn Dunphy and Linda Murray in Brunswick, Jo Williams in Texas and Doug Mays in San Miguel, Mexico. All are excellent watercolor artists and great teachers.
Hope to see you this season
Tim Banks
