Jackie is from away – originally from Boston. She taught art for many years at the North Shore Country Day School in Winnetka, IL. As a ceramicist, painter, printmaker and book illustrator, she has exhibited both nationally and internationally (Singapore, Brussels, and Reykjavik). Her work is in private collections and at the Sloan Business School, MIT and the Luce Foundation. Her favorite awards for her work were two fellowships in ceramics (Skidmore College). Jackie majored in painting and printmaking at RISD and has earned both a BFA and a Master of Arts in Teaching.
Jackie is drawn to the sensual nature of clay and fire, and to the organic use of media. Her current work reflects an examination of archeological roots and contemporary aesthetics. Her work is a result of that fascination and an organic sensibility.
